Special Group Projects

Hands On Asheville-Buncombe is regularly contacted by groups who are interested in performing volunteer service on a specific date. If you wish to receive periodic inquiries regarding groups who may be able to assist you, please propose a Special Group Project.

Please keep in mind possible projects that are outside the scope of your normal/ongoing volunteer needs (ex. landscaping, painting, doing special activities with clients, etc.) These projects should not require separate training sessions or an ongoing commitment by volunteers.

Once the project has been listed, volunteer group leaders can click on a link indicating they are interested. Each time a volunteer expresses interest, the nonprofit staff member associated with this opportunity will receive an email indicating the volunteer’s interest and their contact information. It is the responsibility of the Partner Agency to communicate with the volunteer directly to provide more information and if appropriate, make arrangements for the group to participate.
